Cupp Defeats Neeper; Other Local May Primary Results

Lima, OH (WIMA) - In the Republican Primary for the District 4 State Rep seat in Allen County- Bob Cupp- a former prosecutor- county commissioner- and state supreme court judge defeated Kurt Neeper- taking his first shot at a state position.

 

Cupp will now face Democrat Robert “Bo” Huenke in November to see who replaces Matt Huffman.

 

Also a Republican Primary in surrounding counties for the District 1

State Senate seat- and incumbent Cliff Hite of Findlay fought off 2 challengers rather easily.

 

 

Local Levy Issues:

 

The Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Allen- Auglaize- and Hardin Counties saw another close call in Hardin County- but Allen County voters said yes.

 

Bath Township Tax Levy Renewal for the Fire Department passed.

In American Township- levies for both Fire and E-M-S won by significant margins.
