Lima, Ohio (WIMA) - The City of Lima is joining nearly a dozen other Ohio and Indiana cities for the next phase of due diligence to continue exploration of a proposed Columbus to Chicago high speed passenger rail corridor.

The corridor would be three hundred miles long and run along eleven cities between Columbus and Chicago.

Mayor David Berger stated that he has been able to raise over fifty thousand dollars from local organizations toward a goal of one hundred thousand dollars for the next phase of the exploratory process.

The Rail Corridor has many supporters in addition to Lima’s mayor including the mayor of Columbus- and ONU’s President.
