Tucson is Part of COVID-19 Vaccine Trial

A research center in Tucson is part of a COVID-19 vaccine trial, and they are looking for participants.

The trial is headed by bio-tech company Moderna. They recently announced the vaccine trial is in phase 3, and they are recruiting up to 30,000 people nationwide to participate. This video gives a short history of how they created the vaccine.

Here in Tucson, Quality of Life Medial and Research Center, near Grant and Rosemont, will take part in phase 3 of the trial.

According to the Arizona Daily Star,

In Phase 3, trial participants will receive two doses of the vaccine, or a placebo, 29 days apart. Researchers will follow them for up to two years, conducting regular antibody checks and monitoring them for any adverse reactions to the vaccine.
Anyone who wishes to participate can email COVID19@qlmc.com or call 441-5573.

Would you be willing to participate in a COVID-19 vaccine trial??
